Mrs. Elina hails from Kalimpong, West Bengal. Born on 11th April 1962 to Late Mr. K. S. Chettri and Late Mrs. MadhuChettri, Mrs. Elina is the eldest of the four siblings. She pursued her secondary education at the National High School, Kolkata and completed her Graduation from the Government College, Kalimpong.
On 22nd July, 1985 she joined St. Xavier's School as an Asst. Teacher and served this institution till the end of April, 2022 - her years of service in this institution spanning over thirty seven years. On 8th May, 1984 she got married to Mr.BasantBasnet. From their wedlock, the couple is blessed with a son and a daughter. Her son, Dr.SiddhantBasnet and daughter Dr.PratikshaBasnet are presently posted at PHC, Pakyong.
During her tenure, she also served this institution in the capacity of Yellow House Mistress and SUPW teacher for more than three decades. The secret of her success, we may say, is rooted in her continuous and committed love for teaching. Her affable and cordial nature will always be remembered and fondly cherished. As a person, she took all her colleagues as a family and was always willing to lend her helping hand to whoever was in need.
Mrs. Elina's absence will always be felt by the staff and students at St. Xavier's. May she relish the memories she has created over the years while enjoying each moment of her life in the days to come.

Mr.Passang Sherpa was born on 7th May 1962 to Late Mr. Tshering Sherpa and Late Mrs. Doma Sherpa of Naopgoan, Pakyong. He completed his primary education from St. Xavier's School, Pakyong.
Mr. Passang joined St. Xavier's School as a supportive staff on 1st March, 1980. He is the best example of a multi-tasking employee. He performed his duties and responsibilities assigned to him diligently and efficiently in the Secondary Section, where he worked until his retirement. He was an integral part of the Xaverian Staff football team and always won the hearts of spectators with his unique talent as a goalkeeper. On 12th June, 1998, he tied the knot to Mrs. Neeta Rai, from Chuba Busty, Ganchung. Of their wedlock, the couple is blessed with two sons, Kelvin and Chris Nawang who completed their schooling from this institution. The elder son, Kelvin Sherpa and younger one, Chris Nawang Sherpa are perusing their graduation at the Government College, Tadong.
He was meticulous in performing his duties and carried out promptly the tasks assigned to him. His simplicity, humility, approachability are some of the other qualities that all of us admire in him. Mr.Passang cherishes and fondly remembers the wonderful moments with his colleagues and the student community.
To the many years he has devoted to this institution, now he can look back with pride and satisfaction. He will forever remain in the hearts of the pupils he has touched in so many different ways. May he relish the memories he has created over the years while enjoying each moment of his life in the days to come.
